A facinating Chess board with Egyptian style Chess pieces, age and maker unknown. The board is made of wood, uncertain what kind of wood, and the chess pieces are made of metal, uncertain what metal. The chessboard measures approx. 30cmx30cm, and the pawns are approx. 5.5cm long, while the king is approx. 9cm long. The pieces by themselves weighs just under 2kg, and the board weighs a little over 900g. The board is intact and without major damage, however there are scratches and wear showing play and handling. The pieces are in fair to good condition, signs of handling and storage. Please see photos for further details.

Welcome to our Ebay shop raising funds for our charity Highland Hospice (SC011227). 

This item was donated to us and all the monies from this sale will go towards funding palliative care services for our patients as well as counselling and support services for their families across the Highlands of Scotland. 

Please note that we are a charity and most of our Ebay shop is managed by volunteers. We will look for advice from jewellers, antique specialist, and collectors from time to time for some items.
