PLAYERS, NEWS, LESSONS!

B.M.G. (Banjo, Mandolin, Guitar) claimed to be the oldest, longest published music magazine of all time.  B.M.G. was published monthly in England by Clifford Essex Music from 1903-1942, when the original company closed.  After a couple years off a new Clifford Essex began and took up B.M.G. publishing which continued until 1978.  A revived version was again published quarterly beginning in 2009, making it to the pandemic in 2021.  This is the Autumn 2010 issue of that later incarnation.

I have taken pictures of samples of the pages including the Table of Contents, so you will know what’s covered in this issue.

Condition: like new, unread/unused condition.  This was stored in a box since it was obtained.  It looks like this was printed at a Staples or somebodies office.  It looks it was done on a color printer, not an offset press, and it’s not glossy, coated stock.  My guess is that not enough copies were published to allow expensive printing bills or extensive runs.

PLEASE SEE THE PICTURES OF THE ACTUAL ITEM YOU WILL RECIEVE.

I’ve been conservative and accurate in my detailed descriptions of the item’s exact condition, including pictures, so you should know what you’re getting.  If you find that I’ve missed something, please contact me first.  EBay has tools to help us work out a solution.  Please feel free to ask questions in advance.

I have never been a musical instrument dealer, just a musician, collector and historian.  I’ve collected guitars, banjos and other instruments for many years, researched their histories, and published them in my monthly Vintage Guitar Magazine columns, in other music periodicals, in my Guitar Stories book series, and in many other books over the years.

I am not an antiques or commercial dealer, just a person with many interests who collects and never liked to get rid of things.  Everything I’m selling is “stuff” I’ve accumulated, not something “picked” for resale.  It’s just time to start letting go…and make my wife happy.   Consider this my contribution to “recycling!”  Please see my other items, which will include some other vintage instruments.  Thank you!
