Hereby I am selling one of my instruments, as I am making room in my collection for new instruments!
On sale is one fretless precision bass with a thicker neck in mirror and chrome finish.
Body I got from an old
Squier Bass, and the neck
handmade from
maple with yew fretboard. Over it was our inhouse
oil mixture very similar to TruOil in
matte finish for a more mature and natural feel. Fretboard is handled with shellack to prevent indentations.Neck form is
thicker than usual for a feel of holding a
double bass neck.
Nut is
handmade from
bone, I got from the local butcher.
Tuners and bridge are
Wilkinson with higher quality of screws.
PUs are
EMG P passive pickups.
Aesthetic of the bass is very clean.
Pickguard and all the
chrome parts are in
mirror finish as it is a part of the "Spiegelbild" image which is complimented with a very simple but elegant
black glossy body.
This is an unique instrument and through its handmade parts it is something more, than a product made in a factory with CNC machines. It was played and enjoyed and in near new condition.
There is a 1902 40 Korona coin from Austria-Hungary serving as a cover for a "jazz cigarette" hiding place.
