Rudolstadt Made in Germany Porcelain Dragon Bowl Crown with B. This piece dates to before 1930 (most likely late 1800's) and is in fantastic condition. It has no chips or cracks but does have some only minor wear on the paint. Please see pictures. The porcelain is nicely translucent when held up to the light and it is a good size bowl.

Porzellanfabrik Rudolstadt Straus & Söhne A.G. was officially established in 1882 but Lazarus Straus & Sons company was founded 20 years earlier. They were a glass and import business and by 1874 were partnering with Macy's and high end department stores.

Operating in several European countries: England, Austria, Czechoslovakia, France and Germany. In 1882 they started US subsidiary New York as well as Rudolstadt Pottery Co. Inc. Porzellanfabrik Rudolstadt Straus & Söhne A.G. was taken over by Nathan Strauss and renamed to Nathan Straus & Co. In 1930 before the factory was finally closed.

Cost varies based on weight and location. I do my very best to package items with extra care and I do sometimes use recycled shipping when appropriate. Items are shipped within 1 business day of receiving payment. I determine the best means of shipment to your location and that is usually through USPS Priority Mail. I will occasionally use standard USPS ground to save on shipping for items under 11 oz (with packaging) and $10. This will be noted in the shipping description on the item page.

Returns:

All returns must be postmarked no later than seven days after receiving the item. I do not pay return shipping for overseas shipping. I will take the item as a return but, buyer must pay shipping. It must also be returned in the same condition it was received in.

I graduated with a Bachelor's in Interior Design in '97. I worked in the field for 20 years successfully until having twins with medical issues. This necessitated my transition to a different kind of work and staying home with them. Recently, I have reignited my passion for design with my (mostly) vintage and antiques eBay business.
