VINTAGE

Otrona Attache

 Computer

This early microcomputer was produced by the Otrona Corporation, based in Colorado. The Otrona 2001 had an 8088 16-bit processor, ran MS-DOS, and cost $2,995 (with optional 10 MB HDD). The company also manufactured a portable computer called the Attaché. The Attaché debuted in the mid-1980s. The 18-pound portable CP/M-based computer had 64KB of memory and one or two floppy diskette drives. The 5.5-inch screen showed 80 x 24 lines of amber type on a black screen, and despite being touted as a "portable" computer, with no battery power, it wasn't something you could use on the go as much as something to lug around on business tripps
