Up for sale is a rare pair of frye campus 2949 boots in am oxblood color. What makes these rare besides the color is the year they where made. In 1978 frye stopped using the black, and gold label. Some parts of 1978, and 1979 was a cross over period where they had one white label in the right boot. Still 100% made in USA, and are considered true vintage to collectors. Also in late 1979-1980 frye started stamping the heel with the frye logo. Any year earlier would not have the stamp. So that's how I was able to date these boots from sometime in late 1978 to early 1979 before the complete switch over in which the boots were outsourced for materials from outside the USA. These are truly a rare pair of frye boots, and would be very unique to collectors.

If your not a collector, and are just interested in a well made pair of USA made leather boots true vintage these are very nice. Some wear on the front soles, but still very thick. The heel is great. There is some slight separation in the front toe area of the layered leather soles. SEE PICTURES.
