Hot wheels " THIS IS A ** C U S T O M ** , car has been taken apart , all paint stripped , Sanded and grained to emulate stainless steel finish. The car is an original vintage HW Turismo 1694.

The 1976 DeLorean Prototype #1, “Proto 1” was the first road-worthy DeLorean built, used to sell John DeLorean’s dream of an “ethical sports car.” Hot Wheels approached DMC about making a 1:64 scale die cast mainline car of the DMC-12, and DMC agreed and sent Mattel photos of Proto-1. After prototypes were developed for the new Hot Wheels, DMC dropped out of the deal, forcing Mattel to re-tool the DMC-12 into the Turismo.
The car you will receive is a customized vintage DeLorean Turismo that has been restored back to it's original Proto-1 DMC-12 design (unpainted with brushed finish) and presented in a custom cardback with an official Hot Wheels KarKeeper protector.
