Choker Campbell Apt DJ copy 1958 with original company sleeve: “Walking On My Thin Sole Shoes”/“Walk Awhile”. The vinyl on both sides is exceptional and would grade MINT - (M-) condition with plenty of luster.

Walter “Choker” Campbell was a tenor sax player and bandleader who led his own rock’n’roll band in the 1950s and appeared in the film, “Shake, Rattle and Roll”. After making this recording for Apt Records, he joined Motown, leading the house band and touring in support of the label’s hitmakers until Earl Van Dyke took over.

This copy comes from the collection of a recently deceased disc jockey in Massachusetts.
