Up for auction is this fine carved blue lapis lazuli stone frog art figurine statue sculpture.

Perhaps Chinese and with some age, either vintage or possibly antique given the fine detail on this piece. We even see the feet on the bottom beautifully carved by hand.

From the large eyes, curves in its body, the groove around its mouth and the well-defined legs, this frog is quite a fantastic piece and much better than ones I’ve seen around.

Heavy and solid piece with a deep blue color and excellent natural stone colors in its body.

It measures 2.2” inches long, 1.7” inches wide and 1” inch thick (5.6 cm, 4.3 cm, 2.5 cm).

It weighs 2.72 ounces or 77.2 grams, so quite a nice large piece of lapis!

Good overall condition. Tiny repair to the tip of one toe but no losses and barely noticeable.

Would make a fantastic display piece, fine addition to a collection, or a great gift!
