Stephanie Greene knocks it out of the park once again with this delightful story that any little girl or boy will be able to relate to. The fears and uncertainties that children have are portrayed not only realistically, but touchingly and with a great sense of humor. As with all Princess Posey books (as well as other titles by this prolific author), the ending leaves one with a great deal of not only satisfaction, but accomplishment. About the author
Stephanie Roth Sisson spent her early childhood years traveling with her sister and expatriate parents . As a child she would entertain herself by drawing pictures. Eventually, drawing pictures turned into a career.
After illustrating over 60 books and various magazine pieces, she began writing her own books. Her first book STAR STUFF: Carl Sagan and the Mysteries of the Cosmos, received starred reviews from Kirkus, School Library Journal and The Horn Book Review. It was also named an Orbis Pictus Honor for Outstanding Nonfiction for Children.

Posey takes on boys (and bullying) in the eighth book in this charming chapter book series for first grade readers! Will Posey ever be able to get along with boys? Probably not. They barely ever sit still, they make lots of rude noises, and they are just plain annoying. But when Posey teases Henry for being a "weirdo," Miss Lee tells her that she's being a (gasp!) bully. Only by calling on the help of the Pink Princess can Posey step back and see that boys have feelings as well. And maybe, in the end, she can be friends with the boys too!!

Favorite Book in the Series!!!

I love this author and this series. In fact, I wish she were still writing more books in the series or even continued tales of Posey as she gets older. She does an amazing job of addressing situations that a child can easily find themselves in at this age. In this book, Posey calls a boy a name and her friends laugh. Because she likes her friends laughing, she keeps saying it. The boy then gets upset and it goes through how Posey gets mad/defensive and eventually realizes that she needs to apologize. It's an amazing book about empathy, self awareness and being kind. I love the whole series, but this book is my favorite!
Stephanie Greene is the author of many books for young readers, including the popular Owen Foote books. Previously, she worked as a newspaper reporter and an advertising copywriter. She lives in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
