This skirt was clearly handmade by a very good seamstress as the grosgrain waist will show. Nice craftsmanship! However, the most striking feature of this vintage black silk skirt is that it is entirely and lavishly embroidered with flowers: blue forget me nots and dahlias or mums in tones of red, all this against a background of foliage.

It really is stunning and in very good vintage condition considering the excellent condition of the embroidery.
