MINT (M): Like new – the publication may have been read but looks like new with no scuffs, marks or creasing on the cover or pages.  No damage to spine.
NEAR-MINT (NM): The publication may have been read a few times and may have one or two very minor scuffs or marks on the cover or pages.  No damage to spine.
EXCELLENT (EX): The publication has obviously been read and the cover and pages may therefore have a few light scuffs, marks or minor creasing including spine.
GOOD (G): The publication has obviously been read and there may be scuffs, marks or minor creasing on the spine or pages. May also be some slight discolouration in places due to the age of the paper. Not in pristine condition but still worth having for historical purposes!
