Victoria 1896 Gold Sovereign . Attractive full gold sovereign . I was not able to identify a mint mark . However a more experienced E Bayer has advised me that the “ M “ is visible .
Thus I have been advised that contrary to my thought in fact there is a Melbourne mint mark . Please look carefully to satisfy yourself of the details of this gold sovereign .
My apologies for this mistake by me and thanks for the better eyes to correct it .
This coin was purchased at auction from Denhams’s in Sussex a known and reputable auction house .
