This is an x ray transformer extracted out of a dental x ray machine. It requires an input of 0 - 120 V and has a maximum output of 80 kV at 10 mA (perfect for fusors, Tesla coils, and x ray tubes). To protect the windings, this transformer requires a current limiting ballast and the input voltage should be adjusted using a variac. The transformer MUST be submerged in mineral oil when running or else it will self destruct! After submerging the transformer in mineral oil, pull a mild vacuum on the oil to remove any air bubbles.

WARNING: this transformer generates lethal voltages. Do NOT purchase if you are inexperienced with high voltage.
