Plant is in 7 inch terracotta pot with cephalium and a single, short round stem that is over 5 inch in diameter and around 6-8 inch high. M.conoideus is one of the dwarf and more elegant Brazilian species rarely getting up to 7 inch before maturing and forming a cephalium, (the curious bristly head of the plant, which is a specialized structure in which the flowers and fruits are borne and protected.). Pink buds of flowers sprout around and on top of the cephalium, providing additional colour to the plant. The bodies of the plants are small, shaped like a sphere that has been squashed from above, or hemispherical, grey-green and glaucous, up to 6 inch high and in diameter. Spines at first red, black or yellowish passing to grey with the exception of the darker tips. Cephalium fairly short, to 2-3 inch high and up to 3 inch in diameter, with fine, dense, pinkish red bristles and cream-colored wool, which caps the vegetative part of the stem. The cephalia can become extremely hard and thick as these cacti get older. Flowers are barely to well protruding from the cephalia, deep pink, opens late in the after noon. Originally from Eastern Brazil, Bahia.

In addition, 72 hour heat packs will be used to keep optimal temperatures for the live plant(s). Typically Priority Mail shipping takes 2-3 days but sometimes can take additional transport time due to rough winter and snow conditions. Shipping. All plants are normally shipped via USPS Priority Mail and First Class for a super heavy plant, unless the costumer instructs otherwise. This charge included shipping and handling cost. I highly recommend combined shipping to all my customers for discounted shipping rates on multiple orders. When more than one plant is won or purchased, the customer pays full shipping cost for the first plant with greatest value and a $2.00 fee for every additional plant. Shipping costs are subject to adjustment. The best way is to wait for the invoice when purchasing multiple plants.
