Up for auction is a Vintage “Eight O’Clock Coffee For Savings” Advertising Tin Coin Bank! This is a bright red, black, and yellow coffee tin can with coin slot in its top. Eight O’Clock Coffee was a popular store brand found in A&P Super Markets, and this promotional bank is from the 1950s! The tin reads “Freshly Roasted Eight O’Clock Coffee … Ground to Order … One of A&P’s Fine Coffees … For Savings” on its front and back. The tin coin bank measures about 4” tall x 2¼” wide x 1⅝” deep. As shown in the photos, this vintage bank is in very good condition for its age, with nice bright color lithography and sharp details. It does have some surface wear, including some small marks, light scuffs or scratches, and possibly a light dent or ding that you would expect for such an old tin container. The interior is nice and clean with very little light surface oxidation or rust. This vintage “Eight O’Clock Coffee” advertising tin coin bank would make a great addition to your collection!
