This is a genuine (estimated) early 1950's style pair of girls school gym knickers which were stored in a warehouse for many years until recently discovered. They appear to be in near mint condition despite the years and I therefore suspect they were covered during storage. Buyers should note that the elastic is still good in waist and legs but they are as old as the garment. These are about as good as you will get given the age.

These Knickers are ideal for school modesty wear for younger girls.

These knickers are genuine vintage made in an unknown British colony when we had an empire to call on. The style is reminiscent of the 1940's and 1950's when school knickers shortened from knee length bloomers to bloomers encompassing about 2” of the upper thigh.

They sport a strong but very stretchy tunnel elasticated waist and lightly elasticated ribbed cuff legs, a double gusset and are of the 1950's “centre seam” manufacture (as opposed to the later adopted side seam manufacture preference of the 60's onwards.

This pair is the classic Navy Blue colour, size 12 but they are extremely stretchy and will fit to a MINIMUM waist of 18 inches easily upto 22/24” inch waist or an age range of 4 to 7 years

Waist (unstretched) : 16 inches

Waist (Comfortably stretched) : 18 - 22 inches

Waist (Fully stretched) : 24 inches

Depth (waistband to centre of crotch) : 9.25 inches laid flat

Depth (waistband to centre of cuff leg) : 9.25 Inches

Depth (sides waist to leg) : 9.25 inches

Cuff Leg approximately 0.5 ” wide

Legs (unstretched) 9 Inches

Legs (Comfortably stretched) approx 14 Inches

Legs (fully Stretched) approx 16 Inches.
