Eastman E16SS-TC-LTD Slope Shoulder Dreadnought (2023), Thermally Treated Adirondack Spruce/Amber Maple, Limited Edition

Up for sale is a terrific slope shoulder acoustic guitar from Eastman in Excellent condition. Limited to an edition of 200, sold in North America and Europe, the model offers sound and features associated with much more expensive guitars. The sound is crystalline, fully-formed and balanced as befits Eastman's carefully selected and crafted solid tone woods including the thermally treated (torrified) Adirondack Spruce top in a slope shoulder design (video link to a sound sample below).

Further, there’s great resonance and projection given the thermally treated top, which gives characteristics of aging to the wood, and from the Amber Maple back and sides. The guitar has a marvelous dynamic range with great nuance available and a singing sweetness, especially in the treble voice of the instrument and with thunder not far off when the guitar is pushed, though it doesn’t break up given the capacities of stiff Adirondack Spruce. It can be a very loud and convincing guitar with a crisp edginess that cuts through other instruments without compromising excellent tone.

Action is low, play is near effortless, the truss rod operates perfectly, the saddle is uncut. It’s next to new, having been seldom played. There are no dings or divots, no cracks. It’s in great shape, with any little visual noise from hand usage at absolute minimum. I’ve been turning much of my attention to a vintage Gibson and a different Eastman, so I no longer spend time with a number of guitars in my collection, so they must go, much as I'd like to spend more time with this one especially.

The only fault in this entire offering is that one of the clasp tops on the case pulled free. That loose top is included, though the case does hold securely with the other clasps. Offerings of this limited edition guitar are closing out and there are only a few new guitars still remaining on the market. I’m offering an almost new model at a significant reduction to move it along.
