This auction is for a wonderful antique circa 1869 George Unite sterling silver Birmingham, England, sterling encased glass perfume bottle with original glass stopper as shown in the pictures taken with, and without flash. The overall condition for its age is very fine, with the exception of some slight edge, nicks and chips to the original glass internal stopper (it is intact and there) as shown. Otherwise, there are no other chips, cracks, hairlines, corrosion issues, stains, or repairs. This piece is exceptional and would make a wonderful addition to anyone’s collection. The hallmarks have all been pictured, and there is a slight signature or hallmark at the very top, which is hard to read. The design work on this piece is amazing. The perfume bottle itself is in the shape of what looks like a hang grenade and measures between 3 3/4 and 4 inches tall by around 3 3/8 inches wide and long. The little glass stopper is still intact. The original piece measures almost 1 inch tall by slightly over 3/8 inches wide. The perfume bottle weighs approximately 11 ounces prior to packaging and boxing. Please review all pictures carefully as they constitute part of the description. Just to reiterate, this is a sterling silver glass, encased perfume bottle with its original intact glass stopper. It is an antique great find for any collector.
