""Abstract: Echinoderm collections made along the Arabian Gulf coast of Saudi Arabia from 1971 to 1979 form the basis of this study. Keys, systematics, species illustrations and notes on distribution and ecology are presented for each of the 57 species recorded. These include 14 asteroids, 17 ophiuroids, 12 echinoids, 13 holothurians and 1 crinoid. Zoogeographic aspects of the Arabian Gulf echinoderm fauna have been considered in a separate article of Fauna of Saudi Arabia, vol.4 (Price, 1982)."
