This vintage Indiana Glass Company covered candy dish is from one of their popular "Hen on Nest" lines. This iconic piece was made in their "Gold Carnival Glass Hen On Nest" color and finish. The dish is oval in shape and features a bottom bowl in the shape of a nest with a beaded rim and a fitted lid in the shape of a 3D hen, giving the impression of a hen sitting on a nest when the lid is on. The gorgeous golden honey colored carnival glass has an iridescent finish that adds a stunning and dazzling guise to this piece. This item would be a valuable addition to any glass collection!
It measures 7.25 inches in length, 4 inches in width, 5.25 inches in height with the lid on, and 2 inches in depth without the lid.
It is in good condition with no noticeable nicks, cracks, or chips. ***HOWEVER****, on the bottom rim of the lid there are some nicks where the lid meets the bowl. This can be seen when the lid is taken off and turned over, but is very hard to notice when the lid is on the bowl. PLEASE SEE PHOTOS!!
