Brief Artist Biography
Jamie Lisa was born on 1956 in Junnam, Korea. Her focus now is still life paintings, particularly fruit and flowers. Her technique involves richly textured oil on canvas or board with a unique blend of pallet knife work combined with thick brush-strokes. ?I?m really a colorist. That's what challenges me. The resulting tones of my work are the yellows and oranges of Spain and Morocco and the olives and crimsons of the Mediterranean. The happy placement of my flowers and fruits seemingly narrate life's journeys. They tell stories of being together or apart and of creating identity", said Jamie Lisa.
