Bechar 08 is a beautiful, lunar-like Howardite breccia with amazing colors, clasts, and a grain so fine, it polishes like glass!. Howardite, like other HED, are believed to be from Asteroid Vesta, which had a near fatal collision with another asteroid early in the history of the solar system. Although Vesta survived, a huge amount of rock and debris was ejected into space. This piece happened to intersect with Earth's orbit, survived a fiery trip through the atmosphere, and landed in the Sahara Desert, where it likely sat for thousands of years before being discovered by nomads and brought to market.
