Presented is a BEP-produced SOUVENIR CARD (8”x10”) that depicts the BACK of the 1918 $500.00 FEDERAL RESERVE NOTE (Fr. 1132).  From an original painting by W.H. Powell, the central vignette depicts DeSoto discovering the Mississippi in 1541.  This card has been printed by the Bureau of Engraving and Printing using a plate prepared from the original master plate, the same color inks and intaglio process used to print the original note.  It also has text describing interesting facts about the engravings.  This card was issued in conjunction with the 1993 International Paper Money Show.  The card is in “mint” condition and    will be shipped in a rigid photo mailer.  Initial card shipping cost (USPS Ground Advantage w/tracking) is $4.50.
