This is the legendary 7548-700B "Pepsi" Seiko quartz dive watch from March 1981. While the 6309, 7002 and later SKX divers get more attention, the incredible reliability and accuracy of these overbuilt, extremely reliable early quartz movements (which are nothing like today's all-plastic disposable garbage movements) meant these were the preferred choice for those actually working in and around the water. Rated at +/- 15 sec/month originally, it's also no slouch for an overbuilt, high-torque quartz of any era.

The 42mm stainless case is basically shared with its contemporary automatic cousins, and at a glance they're indistinguishable. Its 45mm lug-to-lug distance makes it surprisingly wearable on a variety of wrists, and it has a solid heft to it that speaks to its quality. It is rated for 150m but note this watch has not been pressure tested and the seals have not been replaced or inspected. Please get the watch re-sealed and pressure tested before immersing, as is standard practice periodically for ANY dive watch regardless of age.

The condition is excellent given the patina overall. The case has lots of light wear and scuffing, but looks presentable enough. The bezel shows some 'ghost' patina but the blue and red of the iconic "Pepsi" colors still show through. Crystal is a replacement mineral crystal. Hands appear to be original and are showing some patina but are in good shape otherwise. Dial appears to be original and is in good shape. New Seiko Z22 rubber dive strap is included.

Watch is running well with a new battery and no known functional issues. The crown screws in and out well and the watch keeps time, quicksets day/date (day is in English and Japanese).
