This listing is for a pretty TRIVET produced by COPELAND SPODE in the lovely EDEN pattern.
Trivets - also referred to as "tea tiles" - are one of the harder-to-find serving pieces produced by makers of fine dinnerware. Trivets are used to hold hot pots - of tea, coffee, cider, chocolate or other beverages - and protect the underlying furniture from heat and moisture damage.
This round trivet will add an interesting vintage decor touch when used or displayed.
The round trivet has a diameter of 5 3/4" and height of 1/2" and is in good-to-very good vintage condition. The pattern is crisp and the glaze is glossy. No cracks or crazing. In keeping with age and use, the glaze has a few light lines and shallow marks (see photos 7-8)).
