2021 S T1 Silver Eagle PCGS MS70 FS Emergency Issue - Struck at San Francisco

This 2021 (S) Type 1 Silver American Eagle is graded a perfect MS70 by PCGS. This coin was struck at The San Francisco Mint and certified as a First Strike – Emergency Issue coin.

This is the last issue of the John Mercanti design reverse of the Silver American Eagle. Type 2 Silver Eagles with the new reverse were released mid-year 2021.

The obverse of the coin depicts Adolph A. Weinman's full-length figure of Liberty in stride, enveloped in folds of the flag, with her right hand extended and branches of laurel and oak in her left.

The reverse was designed by John Mercanti and shows a heraldic eagle with shield, an olive branch in the right talon and arrows in the left.
