Faye
has combined her two passions, photography + sea glass collecting.
She loves to photograph sea glass with collectible glassware, especially
Carnival glass. The photographic melding of the sea's tumbled glass
pieces with artisan-refined glassware becomes an intriguing
juxtaposition of art forms.
Hours
are spent on sandy beaches finding ocean-sculpted
and traveled sea glass shards among pebbles, driftwood, and sea foam.
Each piece of sea glass is unique in shape, size and hue. Frosted or
glossy, pitted or smooth, sea glass is a treasured gem to be displayed
in glass bottles or posed for photographic abstractions.
The
sea glass pieces are found on diverse beach locations: the island of
Kauai, Russia's Black Sea, Italy's Amalfi Coast + Cinque Terre, and the
beaches of British Columbia.
