Reed switch is a passive electronic parts, is widely used in a variety of communications equipment. Is the use of magnetic field signals to control a line switching device, also known as "magnetron". Its shell is generally a sealed glass tube, in the glass tube is equipped with two ferrous elastic reed electric plate, glass tube is also filled with a kind of inert gas called metal rhodium. In the usual glass tube in the two reeds are separated, when there are magnetic substances close to the glass tube in the magnetic field under the action of magnetic lines of force, the two reeds in the tube are magnetized and attract each other to contact, so that the two pins connected to the circuit connected. After the disappearance of the external magnetic force, the two reeds due to their own elasticity and separation of the line will be disconnected, in practice, usually use permanent magnets in the control of the two metal pieces of the connection or not, so it is also known as the "magnetron".
Product Features.
1、Dry reed switch is compact, small weight, can be installed in extremely limited space, very suitable for miniaturized equipment.
2, dry reed switch components are hermetically sealed in an inert gas atmosphere, never contact with the external environment, long working life.
3、Dry reed switches do not use sliding elements, so there will be no metal degradation in all metal fatigue phenomena related to ensure virtually unlimited mechanical life.
4, reed switches in cell phones, programmable control switches, copiers, washing machines, refrigerators, cameras, disinfection dishwasher, l door] magnetic, window magnets, electromagnetic relays, electronic balances, liquid level meters, gas meters, water meters and so on have been well used.
Precautions.
1. Extreme care must be taken when cutting or bending the lead pin of the reed switch to avoid applying undue stress and damaging the glass-to-metal seal. Appropriate clamping tools must be used. 2. Encountered temperatures and excessive exposure times may result in damage to the glass-to-metal seal (cracking, leaking, etc.), so fast and reliable soldering techniques (processes) must be used. Recommended soldering conditions are: 280 to 300° C for hand soldering and 250 to 300° C for wave soldering.
