This is an authentic 1891 map--NOT a recent reproduction
This color map was engraved and printed by the Struthers & Company Engravers, New York, in 1891 to accompany a set of reference material for Dodd, Mead & Co. published between 1891 and 1896. The map is printed on a sheet of medium weight paper measuring approx. 11 3/4" x 9 3/4", with a fold in the center (as issued). The bordered map area is about 10.5" x 8.25" with blank margins all the way around to allow convenient matting. Very good used condition - see photos for condition.
This is a beautiful quality full color map and would look amazing matted and framed. If you want a detailed map full of charm created over 130 years ago, this is a good one.
