Rich, honey gold surfaces display
a remarkable lack of contact marks and beaming luster.

German Gold 20 Mark coin from the Free City of Hamburg.
The obverse of the coin has the city's coat of arms which features
two lions holding a shield emblazoned with a castle, topped with a Knight's armoured helmet.
Above this is the city's full name; Freie Und Hansestadt Hamburg
(Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg) which refers to
Hamburg's history as a member of the medieval Hanseatic League
and as a free imperial city of the Holy Roman Empire.
It is also reference to Hamburg being a city-state.
Below the shield is a 'J' mint mark indicating the coin was
struck at the Hamburg Mint. The reverse design features the Imperial Deutsches Reich Eagle.
