To turn on, you wave your hand in front of switch.  To turn off, you wave your hand again in front of switch.  The wave sensor distance is adjustable from 1 to 6 inches.  Neutral wire can be uses but is not required.  Ground wire is required.  This switch is black and fits standard Decora wall plates.
