Description: Faoos type EF 60 wagons are specialized bogie hopper wagons for transporting hard coal without any particular protection against bad weather.These wagons are loaded from the top of the hopper, while the automatic unloading by gravity is carried out by opening and closing the hatches located at the bottom of the hopper when these wagons pass at reduced speed over an installation  special incompatible with other types of hopper cars.The payload of these wagons is 60 tons and their maximum authorized speed is 100 km/h. These hopper wagons run in full trainsets to or from EDF thermal power stations which are connected to the rail.In the North-East region, such trainsets are made up exclusively of “EF60†bogie hopper wagons and 2-axle “EF30†hopper wagon couplings present in the Jouef range. The trainsets are towed by electric locomotives CC 14000/14100 or electric locomotives BB 12000 also reproduced by Jouef.
