For your consideration is a large fossilized Ginkgo leaf believed to be Ginkgo cranei from the Sentinel Butte Formation, Paleocene, North Dakota.  It measures in at 4 inches across, side to side.  The matrix is about 6 inches by 4 ½ inches.  There is approximately 5% restoration to the extreme right margin of the leaf and to the matrix beyond the edge of the leaf on the right side.  The restoration is very difficult to detect from the display side.  The black stand is for photography purposes and is not a part of this auction.
