Vipera Berus 4n1 artisan crafted Chain Maille bracelet. This beautiful chain maille design has a unique weave that includes three connected rings in the center section with an alternating decorative edge treatment. This design is referred to as Vipera Berus 4n1. The base weave is modeled on the European 4n1 chain maille pattern and then adds the decorative edge treatment.
The bracelet is approximately 8.5 inches in length including the clasp. It's artisan crafted from 14K yellow gold-filled wire. The bracelet is finished with a plain style 14K yellow gold-filled toggle clasp. We make all of our chain maille from scratch in our Louisville, Kentucky studio.
About Gold-Filled Wire: Gold-filled wire is made from a tube of 14K gold with an alloy center. The wire is extruded through progressively smaller dies until the wire is at the desired thickness. Gold-filled wire is actually made with a layer of gold at the surface vs. gold plating that just has a microscopic film of gold atoms applied to the surface of the metal.

One of iDu Jewelry’s specialties is artisan crafted Chain Maille jewelry. Chain Maille is an ancient technique used in the middle ages to link or weave silver rings into wearable garments or adornment. Today, Chain Maille is typically used to create beautiful bracelet, necklace, and earring patterns. You'll be amazed at the variety of exciting designs that can be produced.
We make all of our Chain Maille rings from scratch, beginning with a spool of wire. We manually wind the wire around sizing mandrels and then saw cut the rings. Prior to weaving the patterns, the rings are cleaned and deburred. Each jewelry design is artisan crafted by weaving together hundreds of individual rings. Each item can take 1-5 hours to complete the weaving depending on the amount of individual rings and the pattern complexity. Each Chain Maille item we make goes through 4 separate polishing stages that takes approximately 12 hours. This process gives our products a smoother finish than most other Chain Maille on the market.
