Daniel Treadwell invented the first mechanical press used in America! The first printed New Testament by Daniel Treadwell upon his power press was printed in 1822... There is ONLY ONE  in holding of that New Testament, at the New York public library.

The first complete Holy Bible printed on his power press was printed in 1826.

There are only a handful of Holy Bible and New testaments printed at his power press between 1826 and 1828.

As mentioned above, this is the ONLY KNOWN Holy Bible with a print date of 1829!!!

This is the LAST PRINT YEAR with the title page designated "printed at Treadwell's Power Press"

The general title does not state "Treadwell's Power Press"(all of the same publishers are listed though), and the New Testament title does state it clearly, as seen in the photos.

(It is in good condition overall, while lacking only the last two leaves of the Apocrypha, the text is complete otherwise.)

The importance of the mechanical Power press and its impact on the American printed Bible cannot be overstated! Literally millions upon millions of Bibles owe their distribution and printing by the American Bible Society and others that followed, because of it!
