An uncommon c.4” x 6.75” American trade card
printed on cardboard stock in imitation of a cabinet photograph. The “Three Little
Maids from School” from “The Mikado” are played by Geraldine St Maur, Geraldine
Ulmar and Kate Forster on the card which was issued by the Gilbert Manufacturing Company of New
York, maker of lining fabric. Their extensive advertising puff appears on the
reverse. In lovely condition with a few minor marks on the reverse and loss of
the top surface only of the extreme bottom left corner of the face.

item was formerly in the collection of John Cannon, the respected G&S
collector and researcher who died in 2021. He left instructions that all
collectors should have a chance to acquire the treasures in his collection,
which will therefore be auctioned here over the next year or so by
StageMemories and PaperJoys. Please let us know if you would like to be added

collection.

the selling price. If an item sells for less than expected I may
be able to reduce the shipping cost. Equally, if an item sells for
considerably more than expected then you might wish to boost the
insurance or the depth of packaging, which will increase the shipping cost.
I am always happy to combine items
to reduce the shipping costs for you, but please note that when multiple
items reach a high total value I may ask you to insure the package. If you want
a service not stated, such as first class or surface mail, please ask for a
quote. In
all cases please discuss with me before making your payment. The maximum
possible level of insurance on items sent overseas with Royal Mail is £250.
If the total value of contents exceeds this figure then you will have to
accept the risk of sending the item(s), or choose an alternative courier.
