This is a large bore (0.547) King 4B. I bought this trombone a couple of years ago, but since I am intending to buy a new Conn 8H, I have decided to sell it.
The trombone was second hand when I bought it. It has numerous marks, scratches and small dents. There are ripples around the bell that suggest that it has been previously repaired but there are no creases.
The lacquer is present on most of the trombone other than where it rests against the player's neck and where it is held, where it has rubbed through. Some of the lacquer on the outer slide has worn away too. The lacquer is fair but has numerous scratches. Please see photos for evidence of condition.
The slide is suggestive of some internal corrosion, but when it is lubricated it runs freely, smoothly and reasonably quickly. It has no dents on the external section, but there are a couple on the internal slide, suggesting that it may have been repaired in the past.
The nickel plating on the internal slide is complete and has not worn through anywhere.
The tuning slide is free and movable relatively easily.
The instrument plays well and has no leaks.
The case is usable but not in great condition.
The trombone comes with an appropriate mouthpiece. It appears to be a Denis Wick copy but it is definitely not a genuine Denis Wick mouthpiece.
I am including free delivery within the UK but am not prepared to send the instrument abroad.
