French dagger in the style of a Turkish court dagger circa 1860-1870. This interesting dagger measures 19 3/8” in total length when measured in its scabbard. This dagger is French made, circa 1860-70, in the Viollet le Duc style and period, and made in the style of an early Turkish court dagger. The handle and scabbard are very fine and precise cast iron. Superb details in both the handle and the scabbard. The blade measures 12 1/8” in total when measured on its own. Very nice steel blade with central ridge and one fuller on each side of the ridge line in partial length of the blade. A superb dagger of cross cultural interest. Please email with any questions.
