Mesh screens come with instructions for easy installation. Replacement screen packages include two panels, each 24 inches wide. Sufficient for an attractive natural drape effect. Standard screen heights range from 16 inches through 36 inches tall.

Condar screens do not include hanger rods.

All Condar screens include:

  • matte black finish with rust-inhibiting enamel
  • 19 gauge steel with 1/4 inch diamond weave mesh
  • 1⁄2 inch hanger rings
  • two mesh panels totaling 48 inches wide
  • free pair of cool grip screen pulls

How to select the right size screen:

If you have an existing mesh screen:

  1. Measure the width of your screen in inches.
  2. Measure the height of your screen in inches.
    3. (Do not include the hanger ring in your vertical measurement.)

If you don't have an existing mesh screen:

  1. Do you already have a rod installed? If not, it is recommended that you first install a rod. (Condar screens do not include rods.)
  2. Measure the width of your fireplace opening in inches.
  3. Measure the height of your fireplace opening in inches. Allow 1⁄2 inch for the hanger ring below the rod, and approximately 1⁄2 inch clearance at the bottom. (The height measurement of Condar screens does not include 1⁄2 inch hanger ring, so don’t forget to subtract 1⁄2 inch from the vertical measurement of your fireplace opening.)

Custom-fabricated screens (for larger fireplaces):

  1. If the width of your fireplace opening is greater than 40 inches, you may want a custom-fabricated fireplace screen to achieve a natural drape and sufficient overlap that most homeowners prefer.
  2. If the height of your fireplace opening is taller than 36 inches, you will need a custom-fabricated fireplace screen.
