UNIVERSAL TRANSPONDER ANTI-THEFT BYPASS
The 556U IMMOBILIZER INTERFACE MODULE is used when Installing Remote Start Products in Vehicles Equipped with an RF (Radio Frequency) Based Immobilizer System. This System Uses a (Transponder) Small Chip Imbedded in the Ignition Key, to transmit a very Low Powered RF Signal. This Signal is Picked Up Through an Antenna (or Coil) and the Ignition Switch which is then Sent to the Immobilizers Transceiver.Once the Correct Signal is Received, the Immobilizer will Enable the Ignition and /or Fuel System. If an attempt is made to Start the Vehicle and the Transceiver Does Not Receive a Valid Code, the Ignition and sometimes the Fuel Systems are Disabled. The Immobilizer System will then Render the Remote Start Useless.

The 556U will Bypass the Immobilizer System Only While the Remote Start is In Use thus Maintaining the Factory System's Integrity. When the Remote Start System is Not In Use the Factory Immobilizer Remains Fully Functional.The Vehicles Listed Below all have Passive Immobilizers (Some Vehicles are Noted if Different Name). The 556U can be used to Interface with the Factory Systems on All of these Vehicles.BYPASS MODULE REFERENCE GUIDE These DEI Modules allow you to Install a Remote Starter on Vehicles with Special Security (Chip) Ignition Keys. They will only Bypass Factory Anti-Theft Systems During Remote Starting, thus Keeping the Factory System Intact at all other times.
