Not dated edition but of the second half of the XIX century of this brief novel by Antoine Francois Prevost.
The novel was not correctly appreciated in Italy, but is anyway considered a universal masterpiece.
Published for the first time in 1791 had a great fortune, inspiring the lyric works of Massenot and Puccini.

Cover is missing (see the photo). Binding is almost missing but no page is missing. Inside pages are in good conditions with occasional foxings. Some worn edge. In 16. Dim. 16x10 cm. Pp. 259.

Il romanzo non venne adeguatamente apprezzato in Italia, ma è comunque un indiscusso capolavoro della narrativa di tutti i tempi.
Pubblicato per la prima volta nel 1791 ebbe un'immensa fortuna, ispirando le opere liriche di Massenot e Puccini.
