This auction is for one eRacingPro AutoTran. This is a third generation transmission developed by our engineers. It features a complete redesign that will outclass the previous versions. New features include: Automatic Gear Ratio, Reverse Mode, Pre-assembled Tranny, Zero Maintenance and Brushless Integration. (see Feature section for details.) This Gear Box is specially designed for 1:10 RC Cars / Trucks. It comes with an instruction manual and all spare parts. It is compatible with any 1:8, 1:10, and 1:12 and brushless motors with a 1/8 inch shaft.
eRacingPro AutoTran is driven by a patent-pending advanced gearing system. Its unique design will dramatically improves BOTH the top speed and acceleration of your ride. The automatic gear ratio will lead professional racers like yourself to victory by allowing you to have more control entering sharp corners, necessary acceleration after exiting a turn, and competitive edges on reaching maximum speed on straight track.
With the gear ratio shifting dynamically on the fly to reduce loads of the motor to a minimum level, your ride will consume less power and stay on track for a longer period. In addition, it will prolong the lives of your motor and ESC. This is a perfect device for racers who want to reach the highest performance and beyond.

The time required to start from rest to maximum speed is approximately 1 second.
Theory:
As we all know, choosing between acceleration and top speed is a dilemma. With a smaller pinion gear and a bigger spur gear we have higher acceleration. On the other hand if we have a bigger pinion gear and a smaller spur gear, top speed will increase. Unfortunately we can never have both of them at the same time. However, it is now possible with the advanced gearing system of the eRacingPro AutoTran. All you need to do is select your favourite setting for top speed (big pinion and small motor gear) and the AutoTran will handle the acceleration for you.
We can be divide the process of the AutoTran into 2 parts. The first part is to overcome the *static friction barrier. In this part the AutoTran will decreases the RPM (revolution per minute) of the pinion gear with the dynamic gear ratio so the big pinion gear you swapped in earlier will act like it is a small one. In the animation above, we can see this ratio between the pinion gear and motor ranges from 1:400 to 1:4. What this does is it will increases the torque and reduces the load on the ESC and the motor to gives your ride a jump start. This process takes around half of a second.
*static friction: when an object is not in motion, it's friction with the ground is greater. Thus, more energy is required to accelerate the object.
After your ride has gain enough momentum, the AutoTran will quickly change the gear ratio between pinion and motor from 1:4 to 1:1. When the gear ratio is at 1:1, the motor will output directly to the pinion gear and this is when your ride reaches maximum speed. This process will take another half of second. During quick turns and sharp corners, the AutoTran will adjust its gear rato so you will gain stability and when you exit, it will quickly pull the ratio back to 1:1 so you can say "EAT MY DUST!!" to your competitors.

- Zero Maintenance: After the initial grease application, you can basically forget you have a transmission installed.
- Brushless Integration: This transmission is compatible with any motor that has a 1/8 inch shaft
