Carbon rods are used to stir precious metals, scrap while melting. Graphite rod is also used to remove any impurities on the surface of the molten metal. Rods are made of fine grade Graphite.

The carbon rod is used when melting Gold & Silver metals with Torch, in Gas or Electric Melting Furnaces. Rod is used for stirring and mixing the molten metal in order to get a good homogenous mix of the alloys in Gold, Silver, Brass metals.
Note: Do not use with platinum- it will contaminate the Metal.
Carbon stirring rods are made of high density fine grain graphite.
