Polaroid UltraSight™ Plano lenses, exclusively developed for Polaroid sunglasses are constructed from nine functional elements ultra-carefully formed together for a high-performance optical product that ensures complete protection and perfect vision. THE MAIN ELEMENT OF THE SANDWICH-LENS CONSTRUCTION IS THE POLARIZING LIGHT FILTER AT THE CORE. UV light absorbers are laminated to both sides of the filter. These block all harmfull UVA light rays. Optically corrected shock-absorbing layers are then bonded to both sides of the UV absorbers, making the lens material lightweight, flexible, and impact resistant.Finally, a scratch-resistant layer is applied to both the outer surfaces.
