It is worth noting that in 1930, Crabtree sought a patent for the Lincoln Switch and registered "Jacelite," their own variation of Bakelite, as a plastic molding.
Please take note: A subset of the lids available have been meticulously restored. This involved a significant amount of time and effort dedicated to repairing the lid using modern resins and other materials. Upon careful examination, this restoration may be faintly discernible, but it is hardly noticeable.

Vintage switches (especially brass) are extremely susceptible to insulator disintegration, simply applying an earth wire and or testing on mains voltage is dangerous and far from suitable.
For your personal safety Art Deco Emporium, as part of the full renovation, performs an Earth Bond and Earth Leakage test similar to a Class I PAT Test.
Each product will be engraved with a unique ID and test pass results will be recorded in a database.
Available on request, a certificate of conformance that the product has been converted and tested to meet current IEE and UK Wiring regulations can be supplied to your electrician for sign-off of your installation for insurance purposes.

Restored items are not new, being vintage they have been in use for decades so will likely have minor surface scratches and slight chips. Every effort possible is done to diminish or remove these.

At the Art Deco Emporium. we try to ensure you are completely happy with your purchase experience, however we accept that despite all our best efforts sometimes items can get damaged in transit or quite simply you, the buyer, may change your mind. We request you contact us within fourteen days from time of receipt of any intention to return an item to us. Use the eBay resolution facility to open a case requesting an item return and provide as much detail as possible. We will then supply full instruction on how to proceed and where to return the item. You a total of thirty days to open a case and return an item. Should the item prove to be faulty we will reimburse all reasonable return costs provided the item is in our possession within the thirty days, thereafter it will be at our discretion. If you simply change your mind and wish to return the item then you must bear the return postage cost. Please ensure the item is in the same condition as you received it. In the case of damage in transit, provide as much detail as possible including photographs of packaging to assist us in making an insurance claim against the shipping company. In all cases, for whatever the reason, we will return the full item cost including your original postage and packaging paid. We do not charge any restocking fees or penalties. Refunded monies will be via the same method as your original payment and will be processed within two working days of receipt of the returned item.
