Larry Fritsch Cards has recently obtained the exclusive rights for the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League card series. Featured in the series are cards of the women who made this league a great success in the 1940s and 1950s. The AAGPBL was conceived , financed, and organized by Phillip K. Wrigley, the owner of the Chicago Cubs and a group of colleagues in Chicago in 1943. These women baseball players were feminine pioneers with superb skills who added a totally new dimension to the great American game of baseball. The front contain black and white photos with colored highlights, backs are two-colored. Series #1 contains 234 cards, Series #2 106 cards and series #3 , 81 cards, which includes the latest update series of 9 cards. (The 9-card update can also be purchased separately).
