In the context of a
saturated press market, Antidote Magazine is a new editorial project for a
magazine, created as a detox substance. A genuine antidote offered to a
disillusioned readership. A magazine with international scope, designed to mark
a semestral literary and artistic landmark around a specific topic from the
world of fashion.
Antidote hovers
between an art book and fashion magazine, a precious object to be kept,
collected. Its concept is a simple one: each issue tells the story of a fashion
«object», portraying it through a comprehensive, diversified narrative.
The topic is specific
– Denim, Stiletto, Jewellery, Optics, Leather, etc – the narrative of its «
history » is not. The magazine acts as a multi-disciplinary, daring,
sophisticated outlet for ideas bringing together multiple points of view, of
personalities, a crossroad of disciplines and styles. The people involved in
the magazine – a team with a variety of backgrounds and cultures – will develop
this antidote as a genuine « bible ». Fashion photographers, sociologists,
historians, novelists, journalists, stylists, photo reporters, architects,
graphic designers, artists… will gather around a single theme.
The magazine remains
cohérent with its original idea: making it as closed to a book by inviteing a
spécial guest. The magazine thereby wishes to help the reader expérience the
world through the eye of an artist, chosen specifically for the quality of his
work, his obvious talent and broad recognition.
