Nu Gold is a jewelry grade bronze. In color it resembles 14K Gold. With its beautiful golden color, it is attractive enough for finished pieces, yet inexpensive enough for practice work.

Often I use this metal to practice making a piece of jewelry before using more expensive 14K gold. This batch was custom made for my own jewelry projects by a small family run metal shop in the USA.

The offer consists of

10 feet of round, 20 gauge, dead soft, solid Bronze Nu Gold wire.

This wire is solid, not plated. Since it is solid, the color will not rub or scratch off.

About Jeweler's Bronze

Technically Bronze Nu Gold is a bronze alloy made from approximately 85% copper and 15% zinc. It contains no lead or nickel.

Bronze Nu Gold is easier to work with than brass. Brass is much stiffer, and harder to bend. Bronze Nu Gold does not tarnish but does oxidize very slowly to form an antique patina over time. In its highly polished state, Bronze Nu Gold resembles 14K gold in color and shine.

Bronze Nu Gold also goes by the name Jeweler's Bronze, Red Brass, and Low Brass. It also goes by the brand name Merlin's Gold. They are all the same metal.
