This is a gorgeous Handpainted Porcelain China Pitcher.  The design consists of purple flowers (I am not sure of the kind of flower), associated greenery and gold leaf trim.  It measures 5-3/4" tall (to top of spout); 5" tall (at the handle side of the pitcher); 9" wide (spout to handle); and is 4" wide.

My late Aunt Lourine was an accomplished, award winning artist, especially in the field of China Painting.  She sent this to me back in the 1980's.  It was never used but proudly displayed in my china cabinet.  It is in excellent/like new condition, with no signs of damage or wear.
